Overview
PENTA developed an international cement plant import terminal for Trinidad Cement (TCL) in Georgetown, Guyana by providing key technical insights via site visits, site coordination, and estimating assessments to TCL and their site partner Guyana National Industrial Company (GNIC).
Solutions
During the development phases of every project, close collaboration with key project stakeholders to refine project scope definition along with more complete conceptual arrangement definition is imperative. TCL provided conceptual layout definition and design criteria. These specifications were used as a basis for the customized design developed for this cement plant import terminal project.
The next project phase included procurement assistance to secure major vendors for the packing and palletizing equipment. Bid packages were prepared with Instructions to Bidders, Supplemental Procurement Conditions, Conditions of Purchase, and Data Sheets. Recommendations were also provided to TCL for further procurement negotiations.
PENTA was then engaged to provide detailed engineering for civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
